James Herriot with a Dog Collar!

An opportunity to support Farm Crisis Network (FCN) and enjoy a good read!

David Wilbourne, the previous vicar of Helmsley in Yorkshire, has offered his books for sale with proceeds to the charity FCN. There are two books: - "A Vicar's Diary" and "A Summer's Diary", written in the style of James Herriot with contagious humour and warmth. Well worth the read!

"Inspired by tales of times past in rural Yorkshire, David Wilbourne once again brings alive the rich tapestry of people and places in the Vale of York in the 1960s, seen through the eyes of a country vicar. It is a thoroughly good read - funny, affectionate and touching, with more than a hint of nostalgia. With an extraordinary ability to turn you from laughter to tears, and back again, Wilbourne celebrates the richness of human life with all its ups and downs".

The books are £12 for two including postage. Please contact Mike Sellers to place your order by telephone 01751 472249 or email Mike@theorganicfarmshop.com

Proceeds from the books are being donated to FCN who are very grateful to David for his generosity. FCN is a national charity working in the farming community with people and families who are going through difficult times. More information can be found at www.fcn.org.uk
