Just a mile south of Helmsley, Sproxton holds an 11am Holy Communion service on the second Sunday of each month. The people of the hamlet make up a lively little congregation in a church building whose 17th century open, square shape works well for communal worship. Its little gallery also helps accommodate the congregation.
