Who's who

Ben, ordained deacon in York Minster on 29 July 2008, is Helmsley born and bred and a well-known person around the town, not least behind the butchers' counter first in Nicholsons' and now in Perns.' As he is a non-stipendary minister we will continue to see him serving there, as well as in church and parish. He is married to Rachel and has a grown up son and daughter.

Before retiring to Helmsley, Bob was a parish priest in the Northern Lakes, and prior to that was in West Yorkshire, where he previously worked as a RE teacher at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield. He is married to Kate and they have two adult children. Bob majors in the care of Sproxton's church and people, as well as leading worship at Rievaulx each month.
