Who's who

Catherine has a massive job, running the church's finances which not only include funding our four ancient places of worship and their ministry, but also paying the Diocesan Share, which exceeds £40,000 per year. If you calculate that we have an average weekly attendance of one hundred folk, then dividing the Share by that average weekly attendance means that we need £400 per year from each attender, before we even start maintaining and ministering in the local scene. Mind-boggling. But every year our bacon is saved by the generosity of folk inside and outside the church - yet it is a close-run thing, and good people like Catherine have to bear the stress, for which we are very grateful. Catherine is a Classicist, a solicitor and is married to Stephen and they have two sons.
