Revd Tim Robinson

Tim has been Vicar of Helmsley since September 2010. He is also Rural Dean of Northern Ryedale and Chair of the House of Clergy for York Diocese.

"I trained as a musician and taught and performed in London before training for the priesthood at St Stephen's House Theological College in Oxford. I served my 'title' (as a curate) in Acklam, Middlesbrough before becoming vicar of North Ormesby, Middlesbrough. After this I taught for ten years in a Middlesbrough Comprehensive. Then a friend 'phoned and ask whether I would be interested in being Vicar of Helmsley. My wife Helen and I said yes immediately - and the rest is history. We are very glad to be here.

"Helen is a Recorder (a part time judge) and is happiest in the garden or the kitchen. I am happiest when I am singing! Between us we have four grown up children."
