Details for those setting up their Christmas Trees
Wednesday 25 November to Friday 27 November 2026
Thank you so much for taking part in the 2026 Helmsley Christmas Tree Festival – Hearts Full of Love.
Trees will be available in church ready for you to decorate. You will need to provide your own stand and your creative decorations – we can’t wait to see what you come up with! Lights will be provided, so please do not bring your own lights.
We will allocate a space for each tree and every tree will be numbered. A plan will be available in church during set-up and someone should be available to help you find your tree and space.
The sign-up sheet for stewarding will also be available during set-up. If you can spare an hour or two to welcome visitors during the Festival, we would be very grateful.
We will send you a draft of the Festival Guide so that you can approve your entry. If we don’t receive a response, we will assume you are happy with it.
Your tree must be decorated and ready by 12 noon on Friday 27 November.
The church will be open for decorating on Wednesday 25 November (12 noon–7pm), Thursday 26 November (9am–8pm) and Friday 27 November (9am–12 noon).
Trees are to be dismantled and removed between 4pm and 6pm on Saturday 12 December. The trees are yours to take away, but please leave the lights behind as we will use them again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can take part and why?
Anyone can take part – as an individual or on behalf of a business, charity, organisation or community group. It’s an opportunity to promote what you do, celebrate your community and have some creative Christmas fun.
Is there a charge for having a tree?
Yes. Trees are provided at a cost of £40 each, including lights. You will need to provide your own stand and decorations.
Can I use my own lights?
Sorry, no. We provide uniform static lights for all the trees, which are controlled centrally. This makes things easier for our volunteers and stewards and helps with health and safety.
Can I book online?
Yes. You can book and pay online at:
https://tickets.myiknowchurch.co.uk/gb/NjE4MS04/t
How may I decorate my tree?
This year’s theme is Hearts Full of Love.
What do you love about your business, organisation or community?
Perhaps it’s the people who make it special, the place you call home, something you care passionately about or the difference your organisation makes. We’d love you to tell that story through your tree. Be as creative as you like!
Will there be a competition for the best decorated tree?
Yes. The Best Decorated Tree will be decided by public vote. We will announce the winner on Facebook and at our Sunday services.
What will be the entrance charge for visitors?
There is no entrance charge to view the trees. Donations are very welcome and proceeds from the Festival will be shared between All Saints Church, Helmsley and the British Heart Foundation.
Will there be a Festival Guide?
Yes. Please submit a short paragraph about yourself, your business, group or organisation with your booking so visitors can find out more about you and what you do.
You are welcome to include your website or social media details, as well as any competitions, offers or other ways visitors can engage with your organisation.
Do I have to do anything else?
We hope you might be able to spend an hour or two during the Festival welcoming visitors. It’s a great opportunity to meet people and share information about your organisation. A stewarding sign-up sheet will be available during set-up – but please don’t let it put you off taking part if you are unable to help.
When can I decorate my tree?
The church will be open for decorating:
Wednesday 25 November – 12 noon to 7pm
Thursday 26 November – 9am to 8pm
Friday 27 November – 9am to 12 noon
All trees must be decorated and ready by 12 noon on Friday 27 November.
What happens afterwards?
Trees must be dismantled and removed between 4pm and 6pm on Saturday 12 December. The tree is yours to take away, but please leave the lights behind as they will be used again.
