I am a Yorkshire lass born and bred in Halifax West Yorkshire. Most of my working life has been spent in Museums from the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester to the Science Museum in London and then the National Railway Museum in York. I moved to Helmsley in January 2012 and became Church treasurer in April of that year. My job is to record all the money coming into and being paid out by the Church and to prepare the annual financial report for presentation at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting.

When not doing the church accounts, I spend some of my time helping in the local Oxfam shop and present a monthly quiz at a local old folks home.  I am also a keen supporter of the Helmsley Arts Centre and am learning to play bridge.

I now live with a tortoiseshell cat and a West Highland White Terrier and can often be seen walking Joshua, the dog through the fields and around town.
